Hangers: It’s all about Resale Therapy

Donations Now Being Accepted for “Hangers”

Green Lake, WI, January 16, 2016 – Hangers, a new resale shop offering new and gently-used women’s clothing and accessories, is scheduled to open at Town Square on Thursday, May 4. The shop will sell quality, donated items and donors will receive a tax-receipt from the non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, Green Lake Renewal. Store hours will be Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm.

“This is going to be so much fun,” said Fran Hill of Green Lake Renewal. “We have so many cool women around here with so many cool things in their closets. Everybody seems to have something that they love, but that they never wear. Here’s your chance to do something good with it.”

Hangers is the creation of an all-volunteer Green Lake Renewal team that includes Green Lake Renewal Board Member Brigid Yeomans, along with Linda Burkart, Mary Rowley, Mary Lofgren and Martha Pickrell. All proceeds from the shop will benefit the community revitalization projects of Green Lake Renewal, including Town Square, Green Lake Fitness 24/7 and Green Lake Kitchens.

Donations of women’s clothing and accessories for Hangers will be accepted starting Saturday, January 21 at the Town Square front desk during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-3).  All items must be in new or gently-used condition, clean and in good repair. For further information, or to volunteer for this project, please contact the Town Square front office at 920-807-0008.

Hangers is a project of Green Lake Renewal, the non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing our communities.
