Green Lake, WI, October 5, 2016—Kate Salas, of Ripon, has joined Green Lake Renewal as director of operations, a newly-created position designed to help ensure long-term sustainability of the swiftly-growing organization.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with someone of Kate’s caliber,” said Fran Hill, CEO of Green Lake Renewal. “Her organizational and creative skills and experience will be vital to allowing Green Lake Renewal to expand its reach and address the challenges facing our communities.”
“Our young organization has grown quickly, and we have taken on many projects,” she added. “Kate is the ideal person to create and implement systems that will ensure that we can continue to advance our mission over the long term.”
Ms. Salas will be responsible for helping to determine priorities and needs, working to develop ways to cost-effectively and efficiently meet those needs, and measuring system effectiveness.
“One of Kate’s first projects is working with Program and Marketing Manager Christine Murphy to create a Town Square Docent Program,” said Hill. “We are so pleased to be able to offer this fun and engaging opportunity to our volunteers.”
Prior to joining Green Lake Renewal, Ms. Salas was with The Diedrich Agency for 11 years, most recently as a project manager, responsible for process improvement. In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Salas is an accomplished ceramic artist and has served as president of the Board of Directors of the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter.
